A Room with a view

We had moved to the ‘Big Apple’ during summer. I wasn’t too excited about it, but I wasn’t disappointed either. Mum had done a good job and found a beautiful attic at the 9th floor with a wonderful view on the skyline of Manhattan. Not my room though, which, being located on the back side just looked in the windows of the opposite building, but I had my own bathroom. I have always lived ground floor, in the green suburbs of Albany. Dad had gotten a promotion and here we were, dad as a the chief accountant of a century old well-known biscuit maker, mum and me.
