Dedicated to the one who made this possible,
My Elf.

This is the story of Love.

Love found, and Love lost.

Sometimes in the grand scheme of things
A love beyond all reasoning blooms.
I have often imagined
The blades of grass around a flower
Being like a man,
And when a flower blooms beside them
They must surely fall in love,
Standing straighter and growing taller
And becoming a deeper green
In hopes of capturing
The love of that
Delicate flower.
But much like those flowers of the field
Are our lives.
Eventually the flower dies,
And our loves move on.
In the case of flowers
They are reborn next spring,
A few feet further on,
To cause other grasses to stand taller
And deepen their colors.
