Early one morning my cat was meowing loudly.

I asked, “What are you whining about?”

He said, “I’m not whining, I’m singing.”

“What are you singing?”, I asked.

“Take This Job and Shove It.”

The playhouse was donated by a little girl and her grandmother, at their Yard Sale, for a cat shelter. While I was telling them about my latest book called, Whoever Takes Me, I Love You. That was written to benefit feral cats and other abandoned pets. The playhouse was really nice, but I wasn't sure exactly what to do with it. I was obligated to do something worthwhile. So I went after Jake and his little white truck. I knew we would need to shuffle things around in our small yard at Twin Lakes Park to make a place for it. I had always wanted to have a safe, no ants allowed, feeding station for our back street alley cats. Now was my chance and I wanted to make the most of it. The neighbors had a jump on me in the cat department. They had been at it for years. No matter what happened I would never catch up with what they had accomplished. I was even feeling kind of anxious, what if the cats snubbed me?
