A sincere valentine

You're like cold water for coffee,

Better, even if I don't know why.

Tepid should taste the same to me,

But it doesn't satisfy.

"Nonsense," some scientist may say,

My method distrusting.

The cold in water is boiled away.

Why should warm be disgusting?

I think that the memory of warm

Somehow creates a bad taste,

Or running the faucet's the charm,

Because of sacrifice and waste.

Love, you're my cold water coffee,

A beverage well-based.

Others should be the same to me,

But you can't be replaced.
