“I don’t understand what the problem is… I’ve been with him for nearly three months and he hasn’t tried once to touch me. He says that he’s falling in love with me, but his actions are showing otherwise. Tell me Meghan, what am I supposed to do?” Melissa could barely hold her temper. Charles had dropped her off after their date an hour ago and like always, he’d declined her invitation to come inside and had given her one of his usual passionate kisses that never promised anything sexual. She was sick and tired of it. She was falling in love as well, but he wasn’t acting like any other guy that she had dated before. “I don’t know what to tell you. You’ve complained so much about it to me that I’m feeling frustrated as well. Why don’t you just talk to him about it? It can’t make anything any worse than they already are.” Melissa thought about Meghan’s words. She had no idea that Melissa had tried several times to talk to Charles about the lack of sex in their relationship, but he would always grow distant and cold or change the subject. She didn’t want to push him away any further than he was. But this whole situation was getting to be more than she could handle. “Melissa, maybe he’s old-fashion. Maybe he wants to wait until you two get married before sex.” Meghan tried to make Melissa feel better, but her words had the opposite effect. “When we started getting to know each other, we had all kinds of wild conversations on the phone. He would tell me all the things that he was going to do to me. Well, I’ve been waiting long enough. He can’t just run hot one minute and be a cold fish the next. There’s nothing wrong with being old-fashioned but he should have been clear about it from the start. Whenever I’m around him, I can feel my body reacting and my juices flowing. I’m going crazy. And you’re talking about marriage… I don’t remember his proposing to me. Did I miss something?” “Calm down! For now, just try not to think about it. We have work tomorrow and I still have a few things to pull together. We’ll talk tomorrow. I love you and good night sweetie.” “Love you too, good night.” Melissa hung up the phone and laid across her bed staring at the ceiling. She just didn’t understand Charles at all, but she couldn’t stand the thought of not having him in her life. How could she get him to hug her…to hold her close and make love to her?
