This, my first book, I dedicate to my two sons, Josh and Ben. Without them, my life would not be the same and there would be no Boga Bear stories. This and many more Boga Bear stories were created for them, to make them smile or to laugh or to teach them something. When they were about four years old, instead of reading them a bedtime story, I would tell them a story. Every night I would create a new and different Boga Bear adventure just for them. Sometimes when I would offer to read them a story they would say "No, tell me a Boga Bear story", and so I did. Some of the stories were just plain goofy and others taught them new words or some of life's lessons. Some dealt with the holidays or the ever changing seasons, but they were all created to have fun. I always tried to make my boys laugh (and they did) before going to sleep. I hope you will do the same as you read this story to your children. Josh and Ben's Mom told me many times to write my stories down because they were so good and they brought so much joy to the boys. But I never did and because of that, many of the Boga Bear stories have vanished into the same thin air they were created from. If you're a story teller, don't make the same mistake I did. Record your stories for posterity. Put them on paper, tape or in a computer. I wish I did. However, this is not an altogether bad thing because now, as I'm trying to recreate some of my stories, I get to relive all the warm memories and feelings that I shared with my boys not so many years ago. This is the first in a series of Boga Bear books to be published and represents only one of the many stories I created nightly over the years. I can only hope that you and your children will enjoy this story as much as I enjoyed creating and telling it to Josh and Ben.
