Log Of The El Dorado

The 22nd of January dawned cool and brisk in the Yucatan Pass and a light breeze rippled the flags on the mast of the Maersk Endeavour . The captain of the ship strolled onto his bridge, mixed himself a cup of coffee, and looked out over the sea as he took the first sip of the day. But something caught his eye and the coffee mug paused halfway to his mouth. Picking up a pair of binoculars, he focused in on it and then waved the officer on duty over to him.

Do you see that there, Heinrich?” the captain handed the binoculars over.
