One look out of his cabin’s foggy window and Jake already knew what the radio was telling him; a severe winter storm was moving in. not just any old blizzard, no. One listen to the wind screaming through the strong evergreens, he knew that the time to start planning for an extended visit to the one place he loved more than anything. He was smart enough to stop at the general store at the base of the mountain to pick up the necessities, milk, bread and eggs, what he jokingly called the “French Toast storm survival kit”.
