I personally want to thank every Vegetarian/Vegan, Animal Rights Society and or Organization for educating me and inspiring me to become Vegetarian. Cheers to great health!

This book is dedicated to my Dad, Wilson Dormevil, for changing my way of eating, my way of life, my mom Marie Bajeux, my siblings Peter, Karen, and Marjorie and my manager Ron Hunter...thank you all for believing in me.

Hello, my name is Tanya Dormevil and I have been a vegan for 12 years. Becoming a vegan wasn’t easy for me at all, let alone my siblings and mom. We, like many others started off as vegetarians. While out shopping, my dad met a man by the name Paul Newman, who introduced him to the diet. My dad then joined a vegetarian potluck, where they would meet once a week and share different dishes and watch informational videos. One day, he woke up and decided to empty out the refrigerator and discard all frozen meats, cold cuts, and seafood without our approval..lol. We were basically summoned to go vegetarian cold turkey, how ironic! It took us all a while to adjust, and every chance I got, I would sneak and eat pepperoni pizza, chicken wings, ice cream, etc, whether I was at school, or just out and about. Soon after, we began attending the potlucks with my dad and on one occasion, they showed us a video of how hotdogs are made and that pretty much did it for me. At first I was upset, like everyone else, as this sudden change in our eating habits kind of ruined our once tight knit family…one by one, we packed our bags and left – we weren’t having it -- funny story.
