Interview with Christopher Davis

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Central California the one time meth capital of the world. A really rural area and I think that has made a big impact on the kind of stories that I write. Although none of the characters are a real person, they could be the kids that I grew up with, our parents...they could be me?
When did you first start writing?
I always hated English in school with the exception of a creative writing class in college. It was probably about 2000 when I first sat down with the intention of writing my own story.
What are you working on next?
I write under both my name (Crime, Western & Horror) and a pseudonym (Erotica), so I'm splitting time between both in a 1940's detective sort of thing and a follow up to an erotic crime novella that released during the summer.
Who are your favorite authors?
Other than Stephen King, I don't really read a lot of fiction. Although the last few years I have become fond of a handful of indie writers on the scene today.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes...and I never finished the story. 60k words, two computer crashes and a cross country move.
What do you read for pleasure?
Pleasure reading for me is history.

Crossfire is a full throttle, two fisted crime story that could take place in any town along Highway 99. Guns, whiskey, rouge government agents and a small town detective don’t mix well in this short crime novella from Christopher Davis and 10th Rule Books.
