Interview with Elasto Marume

What do you read for pleasure?
I love reading non fiction mostly. My most loved book is the bible. I have lots of interesting things I get from it. Yes, much of my pleasure comes from it.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I pad and Samsung are on the top but I mostly use the desktop.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Africa. There was no internet, mobile phones, TV and many of these things we see today. The only thing to entertain was book reading. So we would go to the book shop where we were members. We would borrow a book for only three days. That was the time I developed the reading attitude. So reading lead me into writing some short stories.
What's the story behind your latest book?
It's a story of a newly wedded couple who were surprised to know that they knew nothing about parenting. They got enough support and advice about the married life. They thought they new everything until one day when their first child was born. That is when they understood that half was not told. Its a curve of new things. Their knowledge was not enough. They found themselves in the curve of ignorance. The title of the book is called "Overcoming the Curve of Ignorance."
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I have meet a big number of parents who falls short of the knowledge of parenting. My desire is to reach and touch the lives of many.
What are you working on next?
I am working on a book about parenting psychology. It helps the parents with information and tips which brings results.
Who are your favorite authors?
Dr. James Dobson is on the top of the list.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I am inspired by the fact that I have to help those with children especially.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Reading is my main activity. I like doing research of different kinds. I also broadcast on internet radio
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Motivates one to read and easily accessible.
How do you approach cover design?
I design my covers with Photoshop. I am a self-made graphic designer.
