Interview with Sarah Baethge

What is your e-reading device of choice?
I like my kindle paperwhite.
What do you read for pleasure?
I like Sci-fi/fantasy and some crime/lawyers, but really I will try most of what is suggested to me.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I will read what sounds like it would interest me personally, or what someone has asked me to review. I like it when a book is both those things.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The hope that my day will be more interesting when I get up than it would be if I just lie there.
When did you first start writing?
I had a car wreck and was getting bored while recovering after waking from a coma (:P true story) so I began to write down bizarre ideas to fill the time. When other people liked my writings, I enjoyed that.
Describe your desk
I have a tiny greenish desk built into an alcove at the corner of my room. My laptop sits there along with a good mess of papers, books and computer-wires. Often, when I'm working at least, my parrot Timmy is rooting around the debris.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I can let my imagination run wild and anything is possible. I don't like to be told that something, flat out- can't happen.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I am usually reading my kindle or surfing the internet.
What do your fans mean to you?
If I please them, that's cool.
If they don't like something, I'm interested to hear why. Their argument may change my approach if I agree with it.
When an argument doesn't strike me as right or plausible, I could really care less. The time I spend writing is meant to be for my own enjoyment.
Which book came from the first story you ever wrote?
I used to have for sale a sci-fi/werewolf book called 'The Speed of Darkness.' Now I took it down to make a series out of an extended version of that story (the first book, a prequel to the original story, is pretty much written).
As I'm not much of a salesman myself, I want to find an agent for the book(s) of that series instead of self-publishing them
