Interview with Samantha Ann

What is your e-reading device of choice?
the Kindle App for IPhone.
Describe your desk
My desk is made from old pallets. It's currently unpainted, with a rustic vibe to it. Papers are scattered beneath my laptop.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up on the roughest side of Oklahoma City. I think the desire to find comfort and love as a child definitely flows into my writing today. I always want each character I write to be able to overcome any obstacle he/she is faced with.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing when I was a young teenager. I had a lot to say that I was unable to verbally say, so I wrote it all down instead.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
The freedom! I want to be able to follow my own rules and learn from my mistakes.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Being able to purge my ideas on paper, and then to see them come to life in the story.
What are you working on next?
I am currently working on the second book of The Kelvin City Series called Lucky. More details to come ;)
Who are your favorite authors?
Where to start...

I love anything by VC Andrews, Whitney B., JB Salsbury, Jay Crownover, Nicholas Sparks, Dan Brown, Shelly Crane, and the list goes on!
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Everything. Life is too precious to waste it away in bed.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I am a mother. When I'm not writing, I'm going to gymnastics with my daughter or to baseball games with my son. I even go to puppy classes with my Rottweiler!
