Interview with Kimberly Moreland

Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first story I can remember reading was "The Snow Child" by Freya Littledale and illustrated by Leon Shtainmets. I still have this book from the 1970's with the original illustrations. I loved this book and still love it today. The story starts out with a couple who could not have children. One day they decided to make a snow child. The little girl soon came to life, and the husband and wife were so happy. The snow child had to leave when winter was over but the couple waited for her to come back the next winter. I loved the original illustrations they are a part of the story in my mind and part of what I loved about the book.
