Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I am born and brought up in Mumbai, India. My father has been a professor, journalist, linguist and a knowledge-seeker. His life and love for writing has inspired me to continue his legacy forward. I am assisted by many of my family members. And collectively, we want to publish and promote the works of my father to the world.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I know that many people have the potential to write noteworthy books and articles. However, the competition to get works published drowns down many people's efforts. By seeing how internet has opened up and demystified this process, I was inspired to become an indie writer myself.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I am an optimist. I believe that passion and endurance can fetch you anything in the World. I get up each morning to go after my dreams and passions. I have already accomplished some feat which are dear to me. With my up coming book(s), I'd find more motivation to get out of bed and get to work!
What do your fans mean to you?
Well, having fans would be a great motivation for me to continue writing. For every author, it is very important to know that your work is appreciated by like-minded people or otherwise. My definition of a fan is but simple. Any person who reads and appreciates my work is a fan.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
I'm yet to use Smashwords to publish my first book. Nevertheless, I'm positive that this association will be very fruitful. :)
