Interview with Aditi Dufare

What is your e-reading device of choice?
My cell phone, since I don't have a Kindle.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
connecting with your readers. I believe it's the most important and effective way to market your book.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
until the second grade, i lived in Khandwa which is a small city in Madhya Pradesh, India, and then i moved to Bhopal. it actually didn't influence my writing, I just wanted to write and I did.
When did you first start writing?
I was 14 when I wrote my first book but never actually published it or gave it to anyone to read.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I have always been fond of mystery and thriller novels, I loved to read such books so, went ahead and wrote one, besides, I, myself have a severe problem of anxiety which caused me to take a character who suffers from something they can do nothing about.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
i believe we all should be independent of what we do, nothing should stop us from doing anything. I was afraid that publishers would not like my story or would want to make changes according to them which I don't think was my idea of getting things done, hence, I decided I should go ahead and publish my book myself, and self-publishing is rising extremely nowadays.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
For me, it is when people or readers appreciate your work. when people tell you that they loved your book is the most beautiful feeling in the world and for that, you, yourself should be the biggest fan of your book.
What do your fans mean to you?
I don't yet have fans. :P but in future, if I have any, I would love them to death.
What are you working on next?
I'm working on a similar story but longer and with more plot twists than 'THE MYSTERIOUS NIGHT'.
Who are your favorite authors?
Agatha Cristie, Dan Brown, John Green, J.K.Rowling, Ravinder Singh, Jane Austen, and Aditi Dufare :P
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The urge to see how many people have read my book and if I have any e-mails or something, oh and also my parents. <3
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
since I'm in the 12th standard I usually study or read novels or go out with friends.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
1) The Fault In Our Stars- because it's the most beautiful book ever written in the history of books.

3) The Notebook- because who doesn't love it?
4) I Too Had A Love Story- because it's heartbreaking.
