Interview with Alex Leader

Who are your favorite authors?
My favorite authors have to be the people like Pittacus Lore, author of the I am four series.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Probably the fact that I can create lots of new people, a new country, and I even have a whole WORLD at my fingertips. Also the fact that i'm really hungry
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Probably going on walks and watching TV
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
My dad recommends them to me, or I just read the ones he has downloaded on my ereader
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Nope, cause I wrote it when I was 3
What is your writing process?
I have no idea what that is.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first story I ever read was probably 'Bob bob bobbing on the big blue sea' I enjoyed this book because it had a tab to bob the boat, and I like the style it was set in. And all the coulors.
How do you approach cover design?
I go to Google, and then look at some images that have a reference to the book I've written. I then adapt the picture so it has no copyright on it, and so it fits my style.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Well, I can say what 3 of my favorite books are. In 3rd place... The middle school series my James Patterson. I like it because it sort of makes fun of life at middle school, or as I would call it, high school. In 2nd place, The I am four series. It has lots of characters that you could easily think, Oh I wish he/she was my brother/sister. And at 1st place... would you believe it, The bob bob bobbing in the big blue sea book! OK, I know It's a bit babyish, but it was the first book I ever read. I REALLY enjoyed it.
What do you read for pleasure?
Mostly Adventure books
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I don't know. Oh, yeah. A kobo.
