Interview with Alex Tanner

What's the story behind your latest book?
I think that we live in a large world, and despite all the CCTV, policing and security that we have in place these days there are always going to be little nooks and crannies where people can hide and be totally invisible to the world. It was this initial thought that spawned the idea for 'Paradise Incoming'.
When did you first start writing?
I've been writing since I was a child. I started off writing short plays, which turned into screenplays, which eventually turned into writing novels. Since then, it's been the love of my life. I couldn't imagine doing anything else!
What motivated you to become an indie author?
As much as I would love to be 'officially' published, I loved the idea of having total control over my work, the cover art, the blurb, everything. A little bit of the author gets lots when an editor has control over their work, so it's nice to maintain that.

It's 9 o'clock. Time for coffee. Every day, I visit the same diner. Every day, I see the same people. Except today. Today, something is very, very wrong.
