Interview with Alisson King

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was lucky to grow up in times without technology, in communism too. In that case, my only way to travel and discover new and incredible things was possible only through books. For that same reason, in my first novel, I have not including technology, so you can see how the action is going to hook you and the characters, in a secluded place, away from all the things that occupy most of your time and without which, most think, that I could no longer live . I invite you to read my novel, to prove to yourselves that the best moments of our lives are spent without technology.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing when I was about nine years old when my biggest fun was magazines for children and we made an effort to win toys through the contests that were in them. The truth is that I liked writing so much that I no longer cared about winning the magazines prize and, whenever I get sad, I write. My muse is sadness.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story of my first novel is very interesting. At the age of 16 I suffered a shock and could not find peace. I had lost almost everything. My home, my things, friends, relatives ... I needed to get rid of the pain that burned inside me. to be able to move on and, since no one was willing to listen to me, it occurred to me to write. Write something that distracts me from reality. I just wanted to recreate a dialogue between two young people, but when I started to write their story, I noticed that the story is written alone. This is how "The Possessed House" was born (the terror part): it was written alone through my hand and a pen. It was an incredible experience.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
My book, written in two notebooks, has also been lost. My life since I lost my home was a hell. So cruel has been my existence that, one day, my heart stopped. In surviving such an experience I decided to do two things until my death: find love and recover my lost book. I had lost almost everything in my life except my dreams. It took me two and a half years to recover my book from memory, but, now being an adult, the book was written with new nuances: love, passion, eroticism, mystery and hundreds of crossroads that will hook you to the end.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
What I like the most when it comes to writing and I always keep it in my mind, is the fact that lovers of literature will be able to enjoy my stories and, like me, they will disconnect from reality and then return with more energy. go ahead.
What do your fans mean to you?
I struggled a lot to be able to share it with the public, with the fans. At the time of writing, when I was left blank, I asked myself: "What will the public want to see? What will you like?" And I thought: "They want a book that I hooked them. " and here it is. I did it for the enjoyment of the fans who have already asked me for the second part and I am going to fulfill the wish.
