Published 2015-11-13.
What is your writing process?
I write when my emotions are extreme. The words usually come amid tears, whether of joy or anger or sorrow.
I usually have a notebook somewhere on or near my person for those moments when inspiration hits,
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini
Describe your desk
None existent.
My bed at the moment...
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
In Trinidad, the country side.
It influenced how I saw relationships and people and how words came to me, how dialect reflected emotion.
It influenced much more than my writing.
When did you first start writing?
Can't exactly recall. Been writing poems for my mom for as long as I can remember. Stories since I was a pre-teen.
What's the story behind your latest book?
Its a culmination of the choices I made in my youth for love, but more so the choices the people I love have made as well. It is very much influenced by the relationships I have been in, or privy to.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The completion of something more than even you expected. Something that was almost living within that has the chance to be felt by other people and shared.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Life and Love (not necessarily in the romantic way)
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
With family and friends.
Thinking creatively.
Learning through life.
