Interview with Aniruddha Pathak
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Writing itself is the ultimate joy for me. Many a time it comes to me naturally whereas on some days, I need to think a lot while writing something. I write for the people; more than for myself.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans/readers are the reason why I have stuck to writing. They were, are, and forever will be the eternal source behind my words. I owe all my gratitude to them.
What are you working on next?
A depressive plot. It's roughly titled as THE WHISPERING STORMS.
Who are your favorite authors?
Ratnakar Matkari: he is a Marathi horror Author.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Listening to music and coding.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I take recommendations. Awesome covers compel me to buy the book. Some days I surf the net buying random books.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes. My first complete story was Beneath the Old Temple.
What is your writing process?
Sit, stare blankly at the document, touch the keyboard and let the words flow. Mistakes could be edited in the next drafts. For the first try, the words are important.
How do you approach cover design?
A cover design must me go WOW! For my books, I don't approve a cover until it's satisfactory for me. I think with the reader's perspective first and foremost.
What do you read for pleasure?
I mostly read horror and satire for pleasure.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Smashwords Interviews are created by the profiled author, publisher or reader.
