Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Jamaica West Indies and I was always surrounded with books about adventures. I had to use my imagination while I read because there was no television during my early years. I went on several adventures surrounded by books. The stories I read provided me with the foundation I need to develop my writing skills and my creativity.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing in my early twenties.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The inspiration of the story is the Morant Bay Rebellion that happened in 1865. Many people are unaware of this event and its influence on world history. Using animals as a satirical figure makes the story comes alive while adding humor and laughter with a message.

It is the new trend in publishing and also, it allows me to take more responsibility for my work.
