What do you read for pleasure?
In fact I find the pleasure in all the type of readings, the scientific and the literary, but I have, in literary reading, a regular reading and an intermittent readings. The regular is for the "Expressive Narrative Group" poets, which is a facebook group and has tow divisions; the Arabic one, the oldest and the new, the English one.In the intermittent reading, I read for the American and British poetry journal, especially those journals which had published my poetry.
What's the story behind your latest book?
In fact I had published more than 40 books in Arabic, but " The Narratolyric Writing" is my debut publishing in English, and it is the abstract of four volume of my Arabic book in this subject, and I will explain its condensed content in more detailed books.
Who are your favorite authors?
Walt Whitman, Charles Simic and Peter Huhn
What are you working on next?
In this time I have my second book titled "TRUMP", where it will be published by Inner Child Press. My "TRUMP" is an expressive narrative poetry collection, which the first poetry collection for me in English. in fact it is a chapbook, and its poems represnt an objection against the president Trump’s policies against the refugees and the Middle east.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I am a son of a farmer who creates his fate, and migrates from the rural world to the urban.. He had said that the man has a job in this world, and he can’t sit silent. These words plant the voice of the questioning and evaluation, and develop a resistance against the passive acceptance. From this soul of the logical objection, I had learned the writing, because the writing, for me, is a big objection.
