i have just published my first ebook on smashwords and i am waiting to see the effectiveness of their premium catalog distribution system
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in my country Ghana, i have been reading at a very tender age and always had in mind that someday i am going to write for somebody else to read. I always knew i had that in me, i just needed to be ready and focused and i am now that is why i have been able to publish my first book
When did you first start writing?
I started writing about 10 years ago
What's the story behind your latest book?
:), that is a good question. Like most people, my first book is about what i have experienced in my past and latest relationships. So really there is a lot behind why i chose to write the title 20 Letters to Men and i know i am not the only woman with relationship issues
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I wouldn't say i am an Indie Author because i write on not only fiction and non fiction. I just pick a niche and i write on it. I would say i write on anything i have ideas on and i have enough research backing it
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Well compared to other e-book publishing sites, smashwords makes it a lot easier for me and at the same time helps you to reach other markets by distributing to other great e-book publishing sites. I am yet to see how my book performs on these sites. I would be very happy to see people download my books
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
To me the greatest joy of writing is to finally see people read what I write and give me feedback. It gives me the motivation I need to continue writing knowing they are waiting to read
What do your fans mean to you?
They mean a lot to me cos without them there would be no one to read what i write and i definitely wouldn't be motivated enough to write. They give me the strength to carry on to do what i love doing.... write
What are you working on next?
mmmmm.....I am working on four books this year. One is a novel and would be a series which i know my fans can't wait to read. The other three is a cook book and would also be a series so just keep your fingers crossed and watch the space. I encourage my fans to continually be checking up on my page

Danielle steel, Nicky Charles, Stephen King, Jules Verne
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Knowing that it is a new day and with each day comes different ideas and possibilities
What is your writing process?
My writing process is nothing new, it's what most writers do. I usually carry with me a notepad whenever i step out knowing that something will catch my eye or crop up my mind which would be worth exploring. I jot them down, make some research and read, then write in a jotter. When i am finally certain i am ready i type on my PC and then work on it till it's complete.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
The Ranch, this book by Danielle Steel kept me awake for two nights. I was glued to it till i finished reading. Talk of Danielle Steele and what else do you expect?

20,000 Leagues under the sea, i love the sea and i have had my own adventure about sea voyage and so when i saw the title, i felt it would be a good book so i read and i loved it

The Great Gatsby, I was given an assignment about this book and it forced me to read the whole book. Funny enough i have read it over three times cos it's a nice book

Forever in time and Bonded by Nicky Charles. She is my favorite paranormal author and i will read anything from her
Is it true writers are introverts?
mmmm......I must say yes for me but i do not know about others. I am an introvert not because i write so i don't get time to go out and socialize. I am because i was born this way. But i do believe writers who are introverts make great analytical thinkers cos they are mostly focused. On the other hand, writers who are extroverts also make great writers cos they meet different people everyday that can help broaden their thinking on a subject they are writing on.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Yes i do remember very well. 'A child called It' by Dave Pezler. I was then in grade 6. The girl i shared desk with was going through similar situation and reading the book, it made me feel like i needed to take an action before it gets worse for my mate. I reported to the school's principal what this girl was going through and we could all noticed it had had a great toll on her academically. The principal took action and by the next term, she was taken from her step mother and given to her auntie to take care of her. I felt so useful to have participated in her freedom.
What advice would you give to encourage people to read
Read, Read, Read. Reading has a lot of benefits. It expands your vocabulary and earns you admirers cos you make use of the new vocabs you learn everyday. It helps you stay current and it's a form of exercise for the mind as it stimulates the mind. And of course to be a good writer you must like reading as it gives you better writing skills
