What motivated you to become an indie author?
I am a writer so it's not motivation but a combination of God given talent and inspiration. I am motivated to continue to write because it gets some of my students reading and there is nothing better a teacher can do for a student.

Seeing one of my students who doesn't read begin with one of my books and then go on to read more ties with readers saying that mine are some if the best books they've read.
What do your fans mean to you?
Fans mean readers who will get others to read so they mean everything to me.

Each day for the past 28 years I have gotten out of bed and had the joy of going and teaching English which I have never thought of as work.
How do you approach cover design?
I explain to my cover artist in detail what I want and he draws the covers adding a little of his own style and the results are spot on.
Describe your desk
I write at the same drafting table that I wrote my first book 45 years ago- it is my fathers first drafting table as a civil engineer.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was born and raised in Miami Florida where I live today. I set my second novel in Miami and the influence couldn't be greater. Only that story could happen in Miami.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I kayak I spend time with family and friends I go to the Keys which are very close to home
What is your writing process?
When I get a story in my head I have to write it and get it out. Over a period of a few months I will write almost daily edit as I go and then the book is done.
