Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up, and still live in Coventry, England...
Can't really say how it influenced me because there's not a lot going on around here!! Then again, maybe it was the fact that there was nothing else to do that gave me my imagination!!
When did you first start writing?
Hmm...don't know the exact point I started writings things down, but the stories I used to tell even as a little girl were pretty exaggerated!! (E.G...went on holiday, was a slight bit of turbulence on the plane...I came home and told my childminder that the plane was stuck by lightening, flew upside down for a while and I stuck my head out the window the whole time?!...I mean, she clearly didn't believe me, but she didn't tell me that!!)
What motivated you to become an indie author?
My mum always said she knew that I'd publish a book one day, but for me, it was more of a pipe-dream than anything else. Never thought it would actually happen, but when I was given my kindle for Christmas a couple of years a go, I noticed how many self-published authors there were about. I got talking to a couple of them on Facebook...and here we are!! Just decided to stop thinking about it and actually do it!!
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I love seeing my own words in print, be it electronic or paperback - does not matter!! I'm a messy writer, as in, I write tons of different scenes, characters, events, places...etc etc...then I fit them all together and create the full story. Then when people have read them/reviewed them, hearing people say they really like your work...it's such a great feeling...makes me want to write faster to get more out!!
What are you working on next?
I'm actually working on two books at the minute, Mason and Harper's story (second story in the London series) which is coming along nicely!! I'm really happy with it so far!!
And I'm writing a stand-alone novel, which wasn't planned, just came out of nowhere!! It's called Everybody's Somebody, it's very different to the London series...but I love it all the same!!
Who are your favorite authors?
Bec Botefuhr, Kristen Ashley, Brooke Cumberland, Belle Aurora, Bella Jewel....I could go on and on....!!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I'm fairly boring really!! I have a 3 year old and an 18 month old, so those of you who have children can probably guess, it's all, cleaning, cooking, tidying, washing...etc etc!! I jog with my brother 4 times a week and I go for walks around the lakes near my house often...but nothing too thrilling!!....I probably should do something a little more fun every once in a while!!
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Recommended books on Amazon or advertised books on Facebook usually...unless they are by authors I'm a fan of, in that case...I usually know beforehand that they're being released!!
