Interview with Billie King

Who are your favorite authors?
Eckhart Tolle & Napoleon Hill,
What are you working on next?
My next book is a family drama called The Women Who Would not Starve set in the south. TWWWNS is about an unlikely attraction that takes a mother and her young daughter from destitute to priviledeged. When the life they could have never dreamed of is threatened, how far will they go to keep what's theirs?
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I'm inspired by creativity. Just the freedom to be creative gets me out of bed.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I'm not writing, I spend my time running an online clothing store and directing when projects come my way.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I discover my ebooks by word of mouth.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story I ever wrote derived from a nightmare I had. I suffered from horrible nightmares for many years. I wrote most of them down and later on one became a short story.
What is your writing process?
I really do not think about structure. I just write. Later I have to go back and make sure the proper structure is there, but I do not like to let worrying about structure stunt my creativity. It's double work, but it works well for me.

By the age of ten, misguided, lost and abused, she is already on the verge of a breakdown. But she is no ordinary girl. Growing up in a city that has broken many before her, a city that seem to have keep out, one way and no outlet signs posted at every turn, the odds are stacked against Billie King. Poverty, drug addiction and dysfunction within the household often take center stage.
