Interview with Benjamin Ians

What do you read for pleasure?
I have pretty catholic tastes when it comes to reading. I love dipping into the rich literary works of Shakespeare and Dickens but I also hugely enjoy curling up with a gripping crime story by Lee Childs, which I won't put down until I've finished it. My long term favourite books are The Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck, Doctor Zhivago by Pasternak and The Tin Drum by Grass. Last year, I thoroughly enjoyed The Far Pavilions by Kaye, An Officer and a Spy by Harris and a brace of holocaust novels by Amis; Times Arrow and Zone of Interest.
