Interview with Bradley Wright

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
All my life I've had characters trapped in my head, scratching at me to let them live their own life. Writing gives me that wonderful ability. Now they can finally leave me alone.
Who are your favorite authors?
Stephen King, Carsten Stroud and Sandra Brown just to name a couple.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I have never needed inspiration to get out of bed. I have always been extremely fortunate to not have a lot of problems in life. I actually hate sleeping. I have so much fun every day that I actually become sad when it is time to go to bed.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Movies, books, music and sports. The occasional video game and I never, ever miss a meal.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Almost all of my new reads are recommended by authors I currently follow.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I do. A story about a werewolf. Mean son of a bitch really.
What is your writing process?
An idea bores itself through the ether and sticks in my brain like the taste of a bad cigar. Then, I sit down and start writing. What happens next is just a tapping into something greater than any of us know.
What do you read for pleasure?
Thrillers. Scare or shock me once, keep me forever.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Kentucky. It influences most of my stories because I love it so very much.
When did you first start writing?
The moment I could hold a pen and form words. I started with songs and poems and never looked back.
