Who are your favorite authors?
William S. Burroughs, Kurt Vonnegut, Samuel R. Delaney, Franz Kafka, Vladimir Nabokov, Alice Munro, Robert Anton Wilson, Ursula K. LeGuinn, Tom Robbins, Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Angela Carter, Neil Gaiman... this is pointless -- the list goes on and on and on...
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Reading, watching films and television, and I have a seasonal day-job.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes. It was a James Bond story. I was in Grade 8, it was for an English assignment, and in it Bond died. I was chastised for killing another author's character by my teacher.
What is your writing process?
I don't have any one process. It varies from project to project.
What do you read for pleasure?
Everything I read is for pleasure.
When did you first start writing?
When I was 11. I wrote a poem about the assassination of JFK.
