When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I am not writing I am most-likely working at my day job which starts at 5 O'clock in the morning! And for a night owl like myself waking up that early is torture but you do what you got to do to pay the bills. And because that is so early for me and working 8+ hours a day I like to take somewhat of a nap. So if I am not writing then I am napping or working!
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
That's kind of a difficult question! I honestly don't know how to answer that! I don't know i just search through the ebook libraries and just start up a collection of books that i just find interesting!
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Kind of but then not really. See ever since I was able to piece letters together to make words I had ALWAYS written poetry but I didn't really get into writing books until later on in my life. It wasn't until i was 9? Maybe 10 when a kid my age came to my school to talk about a book he had published. And that just inspired me to write my own! So I started writing a small chapter book but honestly I never had the patients or the ability to focus at that age so I soon had forgotten about my writing career. Then later on around the age of 12 I started to move around a lot and kind of lost all my friends, so i felt alone and resorted back to my writing. It started with fanfics and then I started writing my own ideas...And boy did i have a lot! I finished my first book at the age of seventeen but I have A LOT more stories pending...
What is your writing process?
It is a mess! I'm messy when I write! I'm messy as in I'll have coffee mugs and snacks and food scattered around me as I'm curled up on my bed with a blanket and my writing is a mess too! I'll jump back and forth from different parts and chapters in my books. Writing the middle before the beginning and I'll also jump back and forth from completely different books! I could be working on two completely different books at the same time! But hey! It works for me!
What do you read for pleasure?
Anything and Everything!!
Describe your desk
A mess! It's just a mess...
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was born and raised in the country, which I love and would never trade it for anything! It wasn't easy living though, we never had much money and every day was a fight to pay the bills. But we managed! And we are still trying to manage. Growing up the way I did taught me that it doesn't matter what you have or what you don't have...as long as you have family then everything was going to be just fine! And I can't tell you that how I grew up influenced me as a writer because writing has always been a part of me even before I knew the struggles my family went through day and night just to keep a roof over our heads.
When did you first start writing?
It all started with poetry. And I have been writing poetry from the very moment I could piece letters together to make words!
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I've always been stubborn and independent. Always trying to be the best I can be! And I just set a goal for myself. A goal to try to do this on my own. To do what ever it takes to make it on my own and make my dreams come true. I was raised knowing that nothing is ever handed to you. If you want something then you have to go out there and work your butt off to get it!
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
It gives me joy and peace to be able to just escape this world from time to time! To go anywhere. To be anyone. And just knowing I can create my own kingdom, my own world that's unlike this one!
