Ironically, my latest book is also my first. "Beauty for Ashes" is a God-inspired project. I've experienced a lot of things in my life; there are some things I understand and some things that I'm ever learning about. The book is a compilation of what I have learned, what I have grown from, and present struggles and challenges. I felt compelled to be transparent about who I am as a Christian woman and provide the opportunity for others, men and women alike, to understand that they aren't alone in struggles, fears, or failures. This was about God being magnified in my failures and helping others overcome their own.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
The passion and gift of writing coupled with the acknowledgment that I am aging. I didn't want to grow old with the potential to be an [indie] author but never try to due to fear or laziness.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy is knowing that God thought enough of me to endow me with a gift and guide me in its use and perfection. It's a "tie" between the gift itself and the actual therapy that writing provides.
What is your writing process?
Sometimes there is a moment of mental processing, tossing around ideas on paper, or sometimes spontaneous writing. Other times I am a scribe for God, so I write what he tells me.
How do you approach cover design?
I like to collaborate with others who have passions for their craft and demonstrate the ability to turn my words into their art.
What do your fans mean to you?
I'm always grateful for love, support, warm wishes, and prayers from people who have read and/or follow my work; but, I don't consider myself to have "fans."
When did you first start writing?
My earliest memory of writing is the first grade. I used to write short stories.
What are you working on next?

How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Social media probably has the biggest influence along with word of mouth and recommendations from other websites. I'm really big on reviews.
