What motivated you to become an indie author?
I wanted to create from start to finish. I love every step of authoring, from writing to doing covers and promoting.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I write mostly write romance, so I get to fall in love a lot! That's a wonderful feeling.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I like to pretend like I'm in MasterChef when I cook! My family and I spend weekends exploring the winelands and hanging out with friends.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
My book club and recommendations from other people.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, it was about a cow called Daisy-Bell. I was eight years old.
Describe your desk
Large, window facing heavy wooden desk. With a ginger cat called Horatio on it.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I've lived in Cape Town most of my life, but I like to write about other cities around the world which I've visited.
When did you first start writing?
In 2012 one of my short stories, 'Things You Should Know About Crocodiles' got picked up for an anthology, that gave me the boost I needed to write my first novel.
What are you working on next?
The final installment to 'A Piece of My Heart' called 'Full Circle' which will be released late 2017.
