Purging. Like most authors of my generation, I am an introvert by nature. So, what most people would share with a close friend or two, I inflict upon my poor unsuspecting readers!
What do your fans mean to you?
If I have fans, it means I have touched another's soul with my own. That is a precious gift to me!
What is your writing process?
I am old school. I am also a writer by nature, not by training. There is no process. I feel, I write it down. I have a thought, I pen it. I dream, I awake, I pen it down. For me, writing is not an action, it is a physical extension of my soul. Souls burst, if not relieved once in a while!
How do you approach cover design?
Carefully! (laughs) I know the promotional wisdom is to catch an eye, make it a cover that invites you to carry the work home. My own preference is for the book to accurately be judged by its cover. What do I mean by that? I want the cover to give you a true glimpse of what you will find in its pages. If that's unattractive, I've lost anyway, haven't I?
Who are your favorite authors?
Ah, yes. If you had asked me younger, I would not have been able to answer. However, these two have consistently been at my fingertips, no matter where I have traveled in life. Male: Charles Dickens. Female: Jane Austen.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first thing I remember reading in life was the Holy Bible. It was a real, 1611, King James translation. That book has impacted every area of my life since! I encourage everyone to set aside some private time, open it, read it. Just read it. Don't weigh it, don't seek to understand it, don't yet worry about accepting or rejecting it. Just read it.
What do you read for pleasure?
Books, primarily. (smiles) I just love to read. I don't think there is a broad genre I haven't tasted and loved at some point in my life. I do tend to go back for seconds. Then there's always dessert, no? Followed by a settling cuppa...
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My tablet. I tend to shun exclusivity in tech. If you feel the need for a proprietary reading format, I feel the need not to give you my money or time.

What are you working on next?
My writing most often reflects my life journey; not knowing what G-d has planned next in my life, I guess we'll both have to find out!
