Interview with Michele Townsend

What are you working on next?
The sequel to "The Heart Wants", I'm dying to find out what happens to Lily and Lux. I've made The Heart Wants free down load it, see what you think. If you're feeling generous maybe you can write a review :).
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Mostly through the kindness of
Do you only write books?
No, I blog regularly on my website! All sorts of topics, I'd love your comments. Go to
Describe your desk
Paper to the left of me paper to the right, here I am stuck in the middle with you.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Writing of course!!
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I love to write and I like to be responsible for the entire process, the alternate way to get a book to market depends on marketing trends and the money making machine. This way individuals decide if they are interested in your plot and if they are interested they have access to it, someone else doesn't decide for them before they have a chance to make a judgment. Choices are the spice of life!
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Harry Potter the very first one and the Goblet of Fire, because they are such a contrast in writing. Snugglepot and Cuddlepie just so Australian. I like anything clever that has magic and hope.
What's the story behind your latest childrens book?
Well....basically, in this one as usual, Gus is an only child living between his normal life with Mum and Dad and as the only human Adviser to the Sylph King of the Seven Glades.
While Gus has been sick in bed in Webb Street the magical folk have been disappearing and a war has been brewing. Lately he's started having weird dreams, he thinks it must be the fevers, but he’s about to discover he is seeing actual events, no one has any idea why or ……….how. Gus has been summoned by the Sylph King and he must get out of his sick bed to stop the war, find out where the folk are disappearing to and bring them back then see what can be done about the visions, but he’d really rather get some tissues and lay down. If he does that though who will Save the Seven Glades?
What do you read for pleasure?
Adrian McKinty, Len Deighton, John LeCarre, Mark Greaney, these guys are fantastic.
