Interview with ChristyBeeler

Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story that comes to mind is a little horror story I wrote for creative writing. It's about a Cannibal and it's a love story. I guess even back then romance was deep inside of me begging to come out!
What is your writing process?
I put on music, I let my mind go free and I begin to picture the scene. As this is going on I write, often unaware of the words until I read them later :)
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
It was a Stephen King novel, not sure exactly which one. I wanted to become the female Stephen King at that point. Since then, I think I've moved to enjoying writing romance more. Though I still like going to the dark side occassionally.
How do you approach cover design?
Honestly, I don't really have a good approach to cover designs yet.
What do you read for pleasure?
I love reading romances from new authors, and anthologies!
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kindle, because I have a tablet. I always have it by my side!
Describe your desk
I sit at a table, not much support. I should really think about getting a nice desk one day!
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Kearney, Nebraska. My childhood wasn't the greatest, thus the reason i stuck to horror writing at first, and later deep and depressing poems. In the long run, it has given me fabulous insights to many issues that I add to my characters in the stories I create, though!
When did you first start writing?
I remember writing poems when I was say around 12 years old or so. I would write about the things that I wanted to change.
What's the story behind your latest book?
"Mark my Territory" is about tattoos that appear on the body and matches them with their soulmate. Of course, a system like that could be amazing if it worked! However, for my story you know I have some kind of conflict. The books are available now, so check them out!
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I think the greatest joy of writing is that it lets me be creative. It also lets me weave stories that I hope are entertaining for the people who read them! Sometimes I try and give a little life lesson in the work too, so perhaps it could help someone through a situation they feel they may not make it through currently!
