Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a small town in Southern Arizona called Sierra Vista. I was pretty much a loner with no friends. At the time I thought they were my friends but in reality they were only acquaintance along a dark path that was my life. It was an English teacher that helped me want to read and write. Without him making us read the Hobbit I would not have wanted to write.
When did you first start writing?
My first story was many years ago in high school. I had too type it on an old style typewriter and I failed my creative writing class .
What's the story behind your latest book?
I was in a job that I didn't like, Driving over an hour to/from work, my mind began to wonder. I wrote what I thought when I returned home to escape my depression. It grew into a story that never seemed to end. Return of the Matka-Zem is only the first book, there are more to come.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I enjoy people liking my story. It gives me great pride that a person with a severe learning disability can accomplish their dreams.
What are you working on next?
I am working on two books that are the sequels, one takes place before the "Return of the Matka-Zem and the other follows the story. I also have two completed stories needing editing and three other stories in the works

What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I enjoy my job as an COTA and enjoy sending people home.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
yes It was a story about a girl who grew up in the wilds and was captured by a man who tried to rehabilitate her. I wrote that in high school
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The Hobbit. I have dyslexia and reading was very hard.An english teacher made us read the Hobbit and I fell in love with this book
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I am a traveling therapist and I play tourist in the different cities I go to
