I've been writing since I was a kid. I got a typewriter one year for my birthday when I was really young and I'd spend hours in front of that thing. At first I started re-writing some of my favorite stories (don't worry, I haven't tried to publish those), but then I started writing my own stuff. I've been doing that ever since, even though I don't have that typewriter anymore.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
So I started self publishing because I have things in my head, ideas and experiences, and I wanted to get them out. Sharing them is the next step, I figured, so I did some research and ended up here at Smashwords. I don't know if I call myself an "author" yet. We'll see how that plays out.
What's the story behind your books?
So the first couple of books are totally based on my personal experience, but punched up a bit for a reading audience. It's all erotica, mind you, but most of it actually happened. Not always at once, or like I present it, but I pulled together some of my best moments and smashed them together. There's one I'm trying to finish now, though, that's total fiction, but I'm totally enjoying writing it, and I hope everyone enjoys reading it.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Making things sound so good that you could just imagine yourself there. I have an overactive imagination and a pretty decent memory, so having it all down to read over again really is fun. Reliving the memories is almost as good as making the new ones.
Describe your desk
My desk, like my mind, is crazy messy. I have pictures and notes and stuff all over it. Some of it is inspirational, some of it is just things I have to do later, like some bills. I think it's a bit like me because sometimes I try to do too much all at once. Much love to everyone else out there that has a messy desk!
