Describe your desk
My desk is filled with pieces of paper containing partial thoughts with book ideas etc. along with books I've been reading and ignored invitations I don't have time to consider.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the small town of Kenner, Louisiana. My close knit community coupled with my church background has given me many interesting characters to to include in my writing that make for good reading.

I started writing as a boy in middle school.
What's the story behind your latest book?
There is no hurt like church hurt. In Termites In The Church, I tell the story of my father, Rev. Leroy Sanders, Sr., who experienced the carnal instruments of Church Folks’ warfare firsthand. After being falsely accused of stealing from the church he’d pastored for more than forty years, illegally arrested by the St. John The Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Department, and dragged through a two-year court battle, at age seventy-eight, Rev. Sanders, Sr., became a living example of how to bounce back after a setback.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Because I am a pastor I knew the platform needed had already been established and I could also retain more of the profit generated by sales.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
At this time, I'm new to the company.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
To see people impacted for better by my work.

Everything. Those who express their excitement about my writing fuel me to get better and write more.
What are you working on next?
Confidential for now.
Who are your favorite authors?
T. D. Jakes, T. H. Hunt, Max Lucado, Tony Campolo
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My love for my family.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Taking care of my kids and seeing movies.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Online.
