Interview with Danielle Carter

When did you first start writing?
I started writing when I was a child. If I remember correctly, my first story was about a paragraph long and it was about a dinosaur. I don't remember what I wrote about but I know that my mother had it pinned to the microwave. It even had a picture attached, a strange looking brontosaurus.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I have loved writing since I was a child and have always been encouraged to pursue it as a career. I don't want to be famous, but it feels nice to be working on a personal goal of becoming an indie writer.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy in writing is putting on paper all of the thoughts and ideas in my head. I have a very vivid imagination and I love being able to put all of that down in writing so that I can remember the crazy things I think of.
Describe your desk
My desk, simply put, is a mess. There are papers and notebooks all over the place. There's normally a plate of snacks next to my laptop and a bottle of water nearby. I'm not very tidying when I get into my writing mode.
