Interview with Daniel Pietrzak

What motivated you to become an indie author?
I guess, the most important factor, which motivated me to become an indie author was to have my first book published as soon as it was ready. Traditional publishers take long time (up to 2 years) before a book hits the market. I simply wanted to make it available for a public earlier than that. However if I'll have a chance to go ahead with the traditional way one day, I will definitely consider it.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
There is definitely plenty of joy while writing the series. My books are based on topics of my personal interest, therefore researching deep subjects and turning them into a fiction story is something I am very much passionate about. I also love to stretch my imagination and play with it, that's why creative writing allows me to go beyond my daily routine and to visualize a world, which may exist not only in my head but also somewhere in a parallel universe.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans are as amazing as my protagonist. My book is written the way that it is meant to take my fans on an unpredictable journey, where nothing is obvious. I am doing my best to create a quality work for my readers to make them experience life as a gift, which once unpacked, will shine through the darker days.
What are you working on next?
I'm in a process of writing the second part of the story. The bar is set much higher for me this time as I am fascinated by my own story, therefore I intend to experience some of the magic I'm describing in the second book. I believe this practice will allow me to understand my protagonist better.
Who are your favorite authors?
Paulo Coelho, Wayne Dyer, Gregg Braden, Neale Donald Walsch, William Whitecloud, Bruce Lipton just to name a few.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Every morning is a new beginning to either change or improve something. I love to learn new things as this is part of my passion. Every morning gives me the chance to live my life fully, however not every day it all sounds so sweet.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I read a lot of books, and various articles of my interest. Also I practice all kinds of 'strange' modalities of mind, body, and soul. I keep taking online and offline courses mainly related to self-improvement of all kinds.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I read mainly physical paperback books. I spend a lot of time in front of a screen, therefore when I read a book, I make sure is either a physical copy or an audio book to listen while having a stroll in nearby park.
Describe your desk
I'm using a large dining table as my desk. It's clean and spacious. I've got three large plants sitting on both sides of my laptop, two small lights, one small bowl of mixed crystals and of course my wife's beautiful picture. All of it is placed on a white table cloth. A bit unusual looking desk, but I feel creative while working by it.
