Interview with Danny Cole

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
My greatest joy of writing is knowing that what I write will help people help change their lives for the better. Through the years of studying self-help with books, tapes and cds, and attending seminars I have obtained a tremendous amount of powerful knowledge and I am grateful that I can share it with others. I find great joy in helping others overcome life's limiting beliefs and empower them to create the happy and successful life they were meant to have.
Who are your favorite authors?
I like a number of authors so this is a tough question. But I would have to say Anthony Robbins, Norman Vincent Peale, John C. Maxwell, Dale Carnegie, Depak Choprah, and Rick Warrren. I like authors who can teach me how to better my life and find my balance and purpose.
What inspires you to get out of bed each morning?
Being happy with my life and knowing I've been blessed with the ability to help others achieve their desired results in life. I feel joy and peace deep down in my soul when I see others overcome their fears, find true happiness, and succeed in the 5 L's of life, which are; Mental, Physical, Financial, Relational, and Spiritual. I wake up each morning excited about the day to come.
When your not writing how do you spend your time?
Good question. You would think that since I haven't watched television since 2012 that I would have ample free time but on the contrary, I don't. I am an avid reader and love to learn. I am usually reading two books at a time. I also enroll in classes on line and recently finished the, "science of happiness" course from Berkeley, which was great by the way. So aside from reading and learning I am a certified life coach and help my clients find balance, love, better health, and overcome fears and negative thought patterns to live a happy and successful life. Then in the extra free time I have I meditate, teach yoga, exercise, go on hikes, try new restaurants and different types of foods, and enjoy going to the beach and spending time with my family and friends.
Where did you grow up and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up just south of Atlanta Georgia in the small town of Rico, which is now Chattahoochee Hills. I had a great childhood. We may not have had a lot of money but what we lacked in finances was more than made up in love and encouragement. This is what pushed me to achieve what I have in life. Growing up in a loving but poor family encouraged me to want more and to reach and achieve more. I saw other families who had the big house and nice cars and always went on vacation each summer and I knew, "If they could do it so could I." And since I have been blessed and achieved my goals I want to help others to achieve their goals as well.
