Interview with Juliet F

When did you first start writing?
I started writing at the age of 14 after I read some books which inspired me to write my own. My cousin helped me write my first ever book to which I am very thankful for because she was the person who motivated to write.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story revolves around a girl who loves a boy. He knows that. He loves her. She thinks that, until he starts to cheat on her. He apologises. He hits her. He apologises again. He apologises every single time but is it all worth it for Elena? When will she have enough? When will she learn that among fifty lies, one truth hurts the most.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I got inspired after reading a few books and decided to write one of my own. However, my cousin had a major role in motivating me to write and to do what I love to do. She helped me with everything and was always there to celebrate my achievements with me.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Writing for me is a way to express my thoughts and feelings. It's a way for me to experience things through my character. And the thing which brings me the most joy is when the people who read my book tell me how much they liked it and all the appreciations I get. Their feedback makes all the hard work done on the book, totally worth it.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I usually spend my time either studying or exploring my imagination. I also think about what I am going to be writing next.
What do you read for pleasure?
I read romance books. I am a big fan of love stories with a happy ending. I usually read love stories which have a happy ending, since I get very emotional over book characters.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I always read ebooks on my mobile phone.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans are my greatest motivators. They are the people who push me to write. When they give me feedback, it makes me happy and make all the hard work worth it. They are a source of encouragement for me and they remind me of my potential to write.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Most of the times my friends recommend books to me. Other times I look for romance books of my liking and proceed to read them.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story I ever wrote was a love story. It was a very simple, cliche love story involving a girl who had a crush on this guy who was a family friend. I wrote it when I was 13 but never told anyone about it. It was my secret story which I hid in my desk.
