What's the story behind your latest book?
A life transformation. I want all of my readers to get the same experience I got!
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Honestly? God! I never intended on writing a book and when I felt led two, it took maybe 2 1/2 weeks at 3-4 different settings and it was done. None of this is to boast about me, because there's no way I could have done that. It's all about Him!
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
I only looked at a couple of sites and I am still new at this, but Smashwords made it so easy to publish and share what God has given me!
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy of writing, is (I only know this through personal experiences) when I see or am told about how God's love has become prevalent in their life, and if my writings can do that, for just one person....It's all worthwhile.
What do your fans mean to you?
(Chuckles) I love them! Because, that's the only reason I write. I'm sharing because I want them to experience what I experienced and if they can, that's exactly what the book is for!
What are you working on next?
Who knows??? I'm currently working at a local TV station (KAGS in Bryan, Texas) but I don't know how long I will be there. Whenever God leads, honestly. I do have a few ideas of things He might be leading me to do next though.
Who are your favorite authors?
Paul. When I study the writers of the Bible, as I wrote this book, I felt exactly the same. Only a messenger, just called to relay a message from God to people. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that I'm super spiritual or anything, I just want God to move through me.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Jesus. He is the love of my life!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
In everything I do, I'm LEARNING to be open to listening to God. As I mentioned, I work and am taking a couple of classes. But in class, at work, and in all the little things I do, I want to be ministering to those around me.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Honestly, I don't read many ebooks. I just pick up books that God leads me to.
