Interview with Deborah Hunter Kells

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Growing up I experienced different locations in Australia. Without realising it this has
had deep significance in not only the way I write but also my experiences.
When did you first start writing?
I actually started in High School. I liked putting my feelings into words.
Writing was never a chore.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
To have a piece of finished work. Having it polished and saying something that is not only readable but helpful
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
To be productive
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
The contribution of Smashwords is by allowing me to be "out there"
Who are your favorite authors?
I have many and various authors. So difficult to have a favorite - in fact that is where I probably differ. I don't play favorites. Authors all have something to "offer" - even if it's what not to do.
Do you re-call the first story you wrote?
Yes - about an old man - who was a type of peddler and sold his saucepans and related items.
I re-call putting the term "the colour of newness" on the description of some of his items. His name
I had as Mr. Sauzpan. He tender to be a loner. This was in my story
