Interview with Denise Morgan

Describe your desk
My pinewood desk was made specifically to house a computer and its components: keyboard, speakers, and of course, a mouse. There is even room for a small TV and miscellaneous gadgets. But it has other functions as well, namely, something to stand on to reach in high places. Over the past year, though, it's been splashed in multi-colors of acrylic paint which adds character. Bottom line, I have mad love for my lovely desk.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I'm not writing, I paint or pen Japanese Haikus. At the moment, my walls are covered in my artwork, which looks brilliant. My other passion is jogging in beautiful nature.

Traditional Japanese Haiku, pronounced, high-koo, is a short poem of 17 syllables in 3 lines of 5, 7, 5, usually inspired by the observation of the natural world. However, in this poetry book, Modern Day Japanese Haiku has kept close to the essence and structure of a traditional haiku and, of the 173 here, some are comical, sensual, daring, silly... a few mind blowing. Just a book of little gems!
