Interview with Jo-Ann Tosen

Who is your favorite author?
James Patterson.
What is your favorite book, and why?
The Wolf Princess by Cathryn Constable, because the danger and excitement has inspired me and it's a story I will never forget.
What do you read for pleasure?
I love reading all sorts of books for pleasure. Thrillers, adventure, romance, action and comedies.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Reading, playing musical instruments, drawing, singing and going to school.
When did you first start writing?
I used to write small stories when I was about nine. At the age of thirteen I started to write real, long stories. And at fifteen I published my first book.
What is your writing process?
I have a crazy imagination and when something comes up in my mind, I write about it. I always love to use a little imagination when writing these stories. When I write, I am in my own world. I feel everything that these characters feel. I am the characters. Honestly, I don't know how I come up with these stories. I always believed I have a unique imagination. When I write, I have to be in a quiet place where I can explore my ideas in peace.
Describe your desk
Tidy enough. My laptop in the centre of the desk and dictionaries at the side.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Sharing my imagination with others and exploring it further.
What are you working on next?
I am busy at the moment with the fourth book of my series.
