Interview with E Hudson

Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, but oh my this is embarrassing... My teacher took it from me, read it and gave it to the school counselor and made me talk to her. I was the fifth grade and it had some but not a lot of sexual content in it.
What is your writing process?
I always think about the story first. I imagine what I want them to look like, how I want them to meet, what's the "issue" of the story and how it ends. I'm starting a new process where I write it in my notes on my phone when i'm at work and when I get home, if I'm not too tired I'll type it out and try to add details where I feel it's lacking.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
How do you approach cover design?
That's not really a concern because I'm really bad at it, but there are some amazing designers out there and they have created my covers for me.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Well there are more than five. Number 1 is Francis Ray's Grayson Family Novels Collection because Francis Ray was an amazing author and may she forever rest in peace. Number 2 is Wahida Clark Thug Series because I have a small love for ratchet things and those stories are full of them. Number 3 is Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series because for obvious reasons, I have and will also be #teamedward&ella. I also love the entire Cullen family. Number 4 is Bette Ford because I am a hopeless romantic and she feeds my soul with happy endings. Number 5 is Dara Joy because High Energy and High Intensity are hilarious but in a great way.
What do you read for pleasure?
Romance novels, I'm such a sap and love reading about people who get their happily ever after.
When did you first start writing?
The fifth grade, I was in love with Lil' Fizz from B2K and I wrote a little story about him falling in love with me.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I'm trying to write about different ethnic backgrounds, so the new story I'm working on is a homosexual erotica between two indian men. One is rich and the other is from a single parent home and they are going to have a baby.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Writing out happily ever afters, they just bring me so much joy.
What do your fans mean to you?
Everything, if only one person believes in me and enjoys my writing, I'm happy.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
