Interview with Elaine Cantrell

What motivated you to become an indie author?
Oh, i always wanted to be an author. When I was five I dictated my first story to my dad who wrote it in pencil on notebook paper. It was a great story. It must have been because he laughed the entire time he was writing. After that, what could I do but become an author?
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Not counting the one I wrote when I was five, I certainly do remember it. That book sat on my computer for almost ten years before I finally felt it was good enough to publish. The name? Oh, it's called A New Dream, and it's still one of my favorites.
What is your writing process?
Drink coffee. Write a page or so. Drink coffee. Delete lots of words. Add words. Walk around outside. More coffee? No, better not. Sit down. Edit. Write more. And so it goes.
