I first started writing at the age of ten, I believe. I always loved stories and when stories were never made the way I wanted them, I started to make my own.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Hmm, that's a thinker. I wanted to make some kind of difference, to rewrite the common fairy tale and say "no, you don't need a man to define you or worship you to exist.".
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
When I get to the biggest conflict and finally have a resolution, that's when I can finally breathe and that's when I'm the absolute happiest.
What do your fans mean to you?
Anyone who reads my book(s) and enjoys them enough to continue reading means the world to me because they can shape me into a better writer then I already am.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I love this question. I'm currently working on what I believe is going to be definitely interesting. It's set in the year 2028 where, at the age of nineteen, you are required to take a test that measures if you're fit to have children or not. There's going to be three parts of a this story, and it's going to be defined by the three parts of the post-apocalyptic dystopia: Fit, Unfit and Defect. I'm so excited for people to read, I think it could be a big hit.
What are you working on next?
Aside from the dystopic novel, I'm more or less just trying to work through school and a book that consists of once a day letters for the nine months that a mother is pregnant, and the letters are to her child. I'm not sure what all is going to happen yet but if the inspiration comes, I'll know.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Getting the grade! lol No, it's actually the fact that my cat needs to be fed but other than that, if I could, I'd stay in bed forever.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I like to read anything and everything on Buzzfeed, I play with my cat and his red laser, and I love to read and watch reruns of Friends, Family Guy, American Dad, King of Queens, etc.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
If I find one general topic, or a character that I like, I'll try and find another story that mirrors it or I just jump around and read whatever looks interesting.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I do remember the first story I ever wrote. It had to do with two wolves and a spy that lived in Antarctica. It was pretty intense because the spy was evil and one of the wolves killed the spy for the other wolf.
Who are your favorite authors?
I enjoy the book 'Bleed' by Laura Faria Stolz and I also love Rainbow Rowell.
